ABOUT MARY MARGARET
30+ Years of Public Service
A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Mary Margaret brings a deep-rooted commitment to preserving the community’s unique character and way of life. Raised on her family’s dairy farm, she developed a tireless work ethic that transitioned into a distinguished 31-year career in public service—first as a beloved kindergarten teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary and currently as the Head Teacher and School Improvement Specialist at North Jefferson Elementary.
Beyond the classroom, she has served for over three decades in law enforcement. Today, she still actively farms alongside her 87-year-old father and is proud to raise her son, Mickey, in the county she has always called home.
